Lexus NX Hybrid Battery Replacement — Diagnose First, Replace Second
A Lexus NX isn’t a car you want stuck in a workshop for two weeks. That’s why we work in two phases: first we diagnose at your location, then we schedule the swap when the battery arrives. You keep driving the rest of the time.
- ✅ Home diagnostic: we measure the pack at your house or workplace.
- ✅ New Toyota cells: not refurbished, not used modules.
- ✅ No downtime: you only hand over the car on installation day.

The process
How it works in a Lexus NX
The NX battery isn’t in local stock — it comes directly from the factory. That’s why we work in four steps, without taking your car away during the wait.
🚗 Home diagnostic
We come to where you have the car — home, work, campsite. We measure the battery state with Launch, block by block. You get the report with real numbers.
📦 Battery order
If you decide to replace it, we order the genuine Toyota battery from our supplier. Typical lead time: 12 days. To place the order, we ask for a €300 deposit, deducted from the final price.
🚙 You keep driving
If the diagnostic confirms the car is safe to drive, you don’t need to leave it parked. If it’s not safe, we help you arrange a tow truck — via insurance or private.
🔧 Installation & handover
When the battery arrives, you let us know. Bring the car, we do the full swap + system maintenance. Pick it up the next day.
Fixed price. New battery. Zero wasted time.

Before you erase the code
Your OBD scanner sees the symptom. A professional diagnostic sees the cause.
If you’ve read the code with an OBD scanner, you know what is wrong. You don’t know where or how much. The OBD doesn’t access the HV battery modules — it can’t see block voltages, module differences, or the real state of the pack. It sees the warning light, but not what’s behind it.
A professional diagnostic with Launch or Techstream does access that data. It measures every block, compares voltages, and tells you exactly which modules are degraded. The difference between the two is the difference between «something is wrong» and «this specific block is at 40% capacity».
OBD Scanner (€30–50)
- Reads generic engine codes
- No access to HV battery modules
- Can’t see block voltages
- Can’t see module differences
- Can’t see the real state of the pack
- Erases the code — the problem stays
Professional Diagnostic (Launch / Techstream)
- Accesses all battery modules
- Reads block voltage (1–28)
- Measures voltage difference (delta)
- Shows the real SOC and capacity
- Detects exactly which block is degraded
- Allows you to decide with data: repair or replace
Why it matters: if you erase the code before the diagnosis, you lose the trail. The code won’t come back until several driving cycles have passed. Meanwhile, the battery keeps degrading and nobody knows how far gone it is.
If you already have the code, don’t erase it. Write to us with the code and we’ll tell you if we can diagnose it with Launch on-site — you’ll see the real data for every block before deciding anything.
A recent case: Lexus NX in Dénia
One of our recent jobs was precisely on a Lexus NX in Dénia. The client contacted us with the hybrid system warning light on. We did the home diagnostic, ordered the genuine Toyota battery, and within 12 days the car was ready with the new battery. The client left a 5-star Google review.

Frequently asked questions about the Lexus NX
What NX owners ask us before booking.
How long does the swap take?
Two phases. The home diagnostic takes 1-2 days from your message. The swap (installation) takes one day, when the battery arrives. Typical battery lead time is 12 days from order.
Can I drive while waiting for the battery?
It depends on the diagnostic. If the system only shows the warning but the car runs normally, yes. If the car enters emergency mode or loses power, we don’t advise it. We tell you after the diagnostic, not before. If it’s not safe to drive, we help you arrange a tow truck.
How does the €300 deposit work?
To order the genuine Toyota battery from the supplier (which comes from the factory and takes 12 days), we ask for a €300 deposit. This amount is fully deducted from the final replacement price (€1,350).
Is the battery new or refurbished?
New. New Toyota cells. Not a rebuilt pack, not used modules. It’s the only way to guarantee the battery lasts 5-8 years.
Why is it cheaper than the official dealer?
Because we buy from the same manufacturer and cut out the dealership overhead. The battery is the same. The channel is not. At the dealer, the NX battery usually costs between €3,200 and €3,500 with installation. Our price starts at €1,350.
